The National Survey and Cadastre provides Denmark's public sector, private companies and general public with accurate and updated geographic information about the territories and waters of Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Modern Maps and Spatial Data Denmark is implementing a broad eGovernment strategy in which geodata functions as a backbone. Through its role as Denmark's public geodata manager and provider, the National Survey and Cadastre is promoting Denmark's goals for more efficient public administration.
The establishment of a national geodata-based infrastructure presupposes that all Danish authorities that work with geodata have a common understanding and a solid base for cooperation. Through public partnerships, the National Survey and Cadastre is helping to ensure the streamlining and integration of geographic databases held by public authorities.
