Agriculture

Agriculture and ForestryAgriculture is an import source of income for Denmark. However, agricultural production also gives rise to environmental problems. The Ministry of the Environment is responsible for advising and regulating agricultural production in order to minimise pollution. All plant protection agents and genetically modified crops must receive the Ministry's approval. Several plant protection agents have been banned because they contaminate the groundwater.
