Resources, health and climate in focus
A vital part of the 7th EAP is to build on the ideas in the Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe and the Assessment of the 6th Environmental action programme. The 7EAP will be legally binding for the European Union.
The thematic areas in the Roadmap are ‘Transforming the Economy’, ‘Sustainable consumption and production’, ‘Natural capital and ecosystem services’, ‘Key sectors – nutrition, housing and mobility’ and ‘Governance and monitoring’ and will also be important thematic areas in the 7 EAP.
Furthermore the 7EAP will address the management of hazardous chemicals, climate change and interlinkages between policy areas.
The overarching narrative of the 7EAP will be improving the quality of life and greening the European Economy.
